We are proud to announce the ennoblement of our beloved ,gentle giant. and saddened to report his death some months earlier.  Hottentot although a double Bronze Champion with  The International Boer Goat Association was never shown with the ABGA.  All of his Ennoblement points came entirely from his progeny which continue to be shown.  His bold dark coloring , large bones and mass has forever marked our herd and his gentile disposition has forever marked our hearts.

Gary and Linda Pettey   Welcome you to  Pettey's Century Oaks Boer Goats Home of Full South African Boer Goats of Venter & Codi Bloodlines Our herd is focused around bloodlines from Mzuri, Bodacious Hottentot and Xtender. Pettey's Century Oaks is located on forty gently rolling acres of pastures and woodlands twenty-five miles north of the Gulf of Mexico in Southern Mississippi.  God has richly blessed us with sunshine and rain beautiful land majestic old century oaks - and beautiful kids -- three wonderful kids of our own, eight incredible GRAND children, and now beautiful bouncing baby boers! Our story started like so many others we have heard. Several years ago, we purchased a ready made herd of goats to clear some woodland The goats consisted of sixteen Spanish goats and two registered Boer Goats of questionable quality -  We had never even heard of a Boer Goat, but we thought these were the most beautiful animals we had ever seen.  After attending a few goat shows and meeting some helpful people we became educated in what to look for and purchase in Boer Goats. We then began our quest across Texas, Mississippi, and Tennessee searching for the best goats for our newly formed herd.We purchased several Codi does --  Some of South African beginnings and some that were born in America. We also purchased a pure Venter buck and doe, and several Venter/Codi crosses.  This was the beginning of our foundation stock. To this beginning we have added the bloodlines of such bucks as Mzuri, Nzuri, Eggsfile Ennobled*, Magnum Ennobled*, Xtender, Tsjaka Ennobled*,and Rascal Ennobled*.
